Frequency Monitoring, Simulation & Energy Market Activation

Live monitoring of grid frequency measurements with automated portfolio state management supporting grid stabilization participation.

Built a service for monitoring grid frequency and maintaining participation state across aggregated energy portfolios. The system collects high-resolution frequency measurements and supports automated response workflows aligned with external participation requirements. To support validation and testing, a frequency simulation module was developed to generate synthetic measurement streams under configurable conditions. This enabled controlled evaluation of activation behaviors and improved robustness against measurement variability. The simulation model was implemented using a discrete-time Ornstein–Uhlenbeck process, discretized via the Euler–Maruyama method, producing realistic mean-reverting frequency trajectories suitable for system testing and validation.
